St. Anthony Hospital

Award-winning care that heals, inspires and connects.

St. Anthony Hospital was created as a true healing environment – a place that nurtures the well-being of patients, neighbors and employees.

St. Anthony Hospital is a full-service, acute care hospital, inpatient acute rehabilitation and Level I Trauma Center. A primary receiving center for the region’s most seriously ill and injured patients, it is the original headquarters for Flight For Life Colorado, an international model for air and ground transport services.

Founded in 1893, St. Anthony Hospital moved to its eco-conscious Lakewood campus in 2011. Today, this state-of-the-art facility, its patient-oriented processes and advanced technology support physicians and employees across multiple award-winning areas of care.

With a focus on expanding our healing footprint, St. Anthony Hospital opened its newest edition to the campus in 2023 – a 22,000 square foot Surgery Center with five new operating rooms and three endoscopy suites. The expanded Surgery Center supports pre- and post- procedural care locations and is equipped to serve at least 100 more patients each week.

The hard work and dedication of the nearly 2,000 St. Anthony Hospital employees is recognized through a variety of designations and accolades. In 2023, St. Anthony Hospital achieved the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Magnet Recognition® for Nursing Excellence. The nursing team was recognized for their hard work and dedication to outperforming national quality benchmarks, creating a culture of teamwork and collaboration, and demonstrating their dedication to professional development. Less than 6% of U.S. hospitals have received this distinguished recognition.

In 2022, St. Anthony Hospital received four honors from Healthgrades, the leading online resource for comprehensive information on physicians and hospitals. The hospital merited honors for its respiratory failure, treatment of sepsis, America’s 100 Best Cardiac Care and treatment of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease.
